Speed Check - Information Displays
The displays have a true alpha numeric display
(easier to read, because it has rounded numbers), instead of the 1970 digital alarm clock type of digit offered by others. If motorists are confused by the readout (ex: if 61 looks like b1), then what good is it?
The display only allows a motorist to read it while they are in front of the sign
Other displays can confuse the motorist as they pass because they start out seeing a speed that usually matches their cars speedometers. However, as they contiue to drive by the display, they see a new speed that is different from their's which discredit the signs validity in their eyes.
Ultra thin design
The Display's are like the new Plasma TV's - very thin compared to the conventional signs.

MODEL VSC-1820P - Trunk Mount Portable Speed Sign
The standard VSC-1820 is provided with everything needed to mount to a vehicle. The custom made suction cup mounts measure 3 1/2" across, and hold so well that they would be next to impossible to remove were it not for the built-in vacuum release valves. This system is often deployed using a "retired" patrol car. Power is taken directly from the vehicle, yet with its minimal power consumption, there is no worry about coming back to a car that won't start. |
THE TRAILER-MOUNTED RADAR SPEED MONITOR
The trailer-mounted radar speed monitor includes a 18" two digit red or amber LED speed display board with self-contained K-band radar unit. Display board detects and displays speeds from 5-99 MPH or KPH. Violation Alert display flashing feature can be set from 8 to 75 MPH or KPH. The trailer unit includes solar power backup with a charge controller and includes 480-amp DC battery power pack. The radar display board is installed in a black aluminum housing to stop glare and prevent rust. |
